A healthcare provider in the UK is seeking a full-time Clinical Psychologist to join their team. The role involves delivering clinical services for a range of mental health issues while collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team. Candidates should be able to conduct complex assessments and provide both peer support and supervision. This position offers flexible working across locations and a supportive environment for professional development.
This post offers great opportunities with our Team of Clinical Psychologists. We are supportive and skilled in working with adults with learning disabilities. As CPs in this specialty, we feel we have the best of all worlds, with a diverse range of MH issues, dementia, neuropsychology, challenging behaviour, capacity, bereavement, trauma, autism, etc. We use a range of inventive adaptations to meet communication and cognitive needs and are trained in therapies including CAT, EMDR, ACT, and CBT. We are involved in exciting clinical and research initiatives and are closely affiliated with the Doctoral Clinical Psychology programmes at Exeter and Southampton.
We work with a wider MDT, sharing skills and support, collaborating with colleagues from Health and Social Care. Our team provides excellent clinical supervision, support, and opportunities for professional development. We have a record of providing additional training and specialist areas of interest. We provide a comprehensive and supported Preceptorship Programme from Band 7 to Band 8a for this role, consolidating core skills learned during clinical training under experienced supervision.
This is a full‑time post of 37.5 hours per week, primarily covering Bridport and Dorchester, with flexible input into other Community Learning Disability Teams in Dorset that suit the applicant and service needs. Job Share opportunities may also be considered.
