Job description

Overview

Are you reliable, flexible and enthusiastic and able to work well, both as part of a team or independently? Would you like to join our team by providing invigilation for both internal pre-public examinations (PPEs) and external examinations throughout the academic year?

Responsibilities

• Invigilators have a key role in upholding the integrity and security of the external examination and assessment process and are a vital part of the Exams Office team.
• You will use your confident and reassuring presence in exam rooms, be able to give instructions and manage evolving situations.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is a keen sense of attention to detail, basic IT skills and most importantly the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Previous experience is not required as full training will be provided; however, experience of working with young adults would be an advantage.

Successful applicants will be readily available during the main external examination/PPE periods of April-June, November, January-March.
