Qualifications

The Vacancy

Purpose of the role:

To support the Facilities and Maintenance Manager and be accountable for the general upkeep and conditions, facilities maintenance and servicing. Ensure a good standard of operational functionality, appearance and legal compliance towards the development of the LTD facility including any tenants.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain a responsible attitude to work, be able to lead work unsupervised and apply technical and manual skills required to meet requirements of the role. This is with respect to:
  • Respond to all facilities management issues or requests that are raised in a timely and effective manner.
  • Dot-Line manager to the Facilities Technician to support and coordinate their work accordingly.
  • Manage risk-based task related to the Risk Register and Insurance provider.
  • Manage compliance responsibilities within a facilities capacity for ALtd and tenants.
  • Assess problems and take the necessary corrective actions.
  • Develop a long-term plan to ensure the general upkeep, service and maintenance of the site.
  • Work within defined RACI matrices in partnership with various stakeholders to support or lead facilities-based projects and/or facilities-based aspects of a project.
  • Work with the procurement department to implement SLAs, contracts and manage the services that include but are not limited to site security, pest control, HVAC systems etc.
  • Management and compliance of all fire systems on site.
  • Ensure a fluid gap analysis is in place against EHS legislation and regulations. Devise and maintain a schedule to ensure that the necessary inspections and mandatory remedials are facilitated.
  • Coordinate with and notify any affected parties that are impacted by any significant repairs, installations, or refurbishments.
  • Implement and uphold the site management of contractors including any relevant SSOW.
  • Manage departmental waste responsibilities.
  • Implement budget control for approved occupancy spend and ensure that the work is cost effective.
  • Ensuring day to day discipline is maintained in accordance with Company policies and procedures, including time & attendance, absence and holidays, and identifying and implementing action as necessary or escalating more serious issues to the FM&M Manager.
  • Point of contact for commercial tenants and any other companies that form part of the Amphenol Corporation based on site.
  • Support with data collection for environmental, cost, sustainability or business case requirements.
  • Support to develop and manage work within the company CMMS.
  • Carries out such other duties that may be reasonably requested.
Person Specification
Qualifications
  • Passed both Maths and English GCSE Grade 4 (or equivalent).
  • Formal qualifications in Legionella awareness, cryogenic gasses and/or in an electrical capacity.
  • IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent
Experience
  • Must have at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Successfully led Capital investment projects
Technical
  • A broad set of technical skills that may include plumbing, carpentry etc that will repair and maintain the building integrity.
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of different trades.
  • Awareness of HSE compliance requirements, desirably with experience of leading such work.
Skills and Competencies
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to use a computer so that they can record log of daily activity, converse with different suppliers and raise Purchase Orders.
