A leading law firm is looking for an experienced Legal Secretary to join their Leasehold Enfranchisement & Residential department in London. This full-time role entails supporting a team of legal professionals while managing administrative tasks such as responding to Land Registry requisitions and handling document management. Candidates should have a background in residential conveyancing and be highly organized with excellent attention to detail. Familiarity with legal document systems like NetDocs is essential.
We are hiring for an experienced residential conveyancing focused Legal Secretary, to work with our London based Leasehold Enfranchisement & Residential (LER) department and support the team as they continue to grow.
This is a full time (35hr a week), position.
The team focuses on every sector of the residential property market. They specialise in freehold enfranchisement, lease extensions both acting for landlord and for flat owners, conveyancing for individuals, rights of first refusal, right to manage claims and other leasehold issues.
The role will see you working as part of a team providing administrative support for the team of one Partner, Legal Director, Senior Associate, Associate, Solicitor and two Paralegals. You will also be working alongside another Legal Secretary.

As a Legal Secretary/Legal PA, you will be able to demonstrate past experience within a residential conveyancing team. Experience within an enfranchisement team would also be helpful, but not essential.
You will thrive on being highly organised with excellent attention to detail and love juggling multiple tasks, using your prioritisation skills to manage deadlines, clients and your colleagues. Experience with a legal document management system (we use NetDocs), the legal billing process (we use 3E), and document formatting are essential for this role.

This will be with the Senior Associate who focuses on residential conveyancing, and Ash Evans, who will discuss your interest in the role, what you are looking for professionally, and ask some competency/behavioural questions that relate to the key skills/behaviours needed for this position. Additionally, you will sit a 60min Excel/Word technical test.

At this stage, you will get to meet the head of the team and at least one of the Legal Secretaries, who can provide you with their insight into what it is like working as a Legal Secretary in the LER team.
