• Complete basic paperwork accurately, including updating the minus sheet.
• Report completed work and issues to the Line Leader or Packhouse Manager.

Overview

HRGO Recruitment Ashford is recruiting a motivated and reliable Line Leader on behalf of a production client based in Chartham, near Canterbury. This is an ongoing temporary role with a genuine opportunity to become permanent based on performance. The role involves supporting the smooth and efficient running of the packing line while maintaining high standards of Health & Safety, Hygiene, and Compliance. Immediate start available.

Role Details

Job Title: Line Leader
Location: Chartham, near Canterbury, Kent (Drive)
Contract: Temporary to Permanent
Pay Rate: £13.45 per hour (standard) | £16.81 per hour (overtime)
Hours: 06:30-18:30, 5 shifts per week (may include weekends)

Key Responsibilities

• Support the running of the packing line, including start-up checks
• Work closely with Line Leaders, ODS, Chiller, and Machine Operators
• Ensure correct packaging, labelling, and product specifications are followed
• Maintain hygiene, quality, and food safety standards at all times
• Complete basic paperwork accurately, including updating the minus sheet
• Assist with monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages
• Keep the working area clean, safe, and well organised
• Report completed work and issues to the Line Leader or Packhouse Manager

Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience in food production or packing is preferred but not essential
• Good communication skills with a strong level of English
• Basic Maths skills
• Able to work under pressure and meet production targets
• Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Ongoing work with a temp-to-perm opportunity
