A leading cultural institution in Greater London seeks a motivated individual for a Facilities Management apprenticeship. No previous museum experience is necessary, but candidates must be organised and proactive. The role supports the delivery of FM services during an exciting transition to a new Smithfield site. Applicants should be eligible for a Level 3 apprenticeship and have rights to work in England. Applications are encouraged from under-represented groups, including disabled individuals.
The museum will sit in atmospheric former market buildings – over 30,000 sqm – at the heart of one of the capital’s most historic and creative quarters, Smithfield. The New Museum project is one of the largest cultural projects in Europe and will transform the museum, Smithfield and the City of London, creating a new cultural quarter for London.
Working as a part of the expanding Estates team, you will be supporting colleagues in the delivery of hard and soft facilities management (FM) services. You will be joining the team during a vital new chapter in the London Museum's history as we move towards the opening of our state‑of‑the‑art Smithfield site.
To succeed in this role you should be organised, effective and proactive. Previous experience of working in a museum is not required, we are looking for someone who has the desire to develop their knowledge of Facilities Management whilst working towards a level 3 apprenticeship.
