With 82 beautifully appointed bedrooms, a destination restaurant, café/bar, and exclusive private dining rooms, The Bedford Hotel Belfast will set new standards for hospitality in Northern Ireland.

The Bedford Hotel Belfast, operated by Focus Hotels Management, seeks a skilled and driven Finance Assistant who thrives in a luxury hospitality setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the day-to-day accounting tasks, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Process invoices, payments, and expenses accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain financial records and ensure they are up to date and organised.
  • Assist with payroll processing and reconciling payroll reports.
  • Prepare financial reports and assist in budgeting and forecasting.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial information and resolve discrepancies.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Contribute to the overall financial efficiency and effectiveness of the hotel.

Key Requirements

  • Customer service experience, at both internal and external stakeholder level.
  • Attention to detail and strong numerical skills to ensure accurate financial data.
  • IT proficiency, particularly with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders.
  • Qualifications in accounting or finance are desirable but not essential.
  • Previous experience in a similar role or in the hospitality industry is advantageous.
