Senior Broker - Property - Pulp and Paper Industry

Aon is currently recruiting a Senior Broker / Associate Director to join the Industrial Property team, which forms part of the wider Property practice within our Global Broking Centre.

In this role you will be responsible for co‑ordinating and contributing to the marketing and negotiation of business specific to Pulp & Paper industries within the Lloyd’s and Company Markets on a day‑to‑day basis.

What the day will look like
  • To support the Team Leader in ensuring that the team work as a cohesive unit meeting all service requirements agreed with the Aon offices and Insurers.
  • Manage/broke your own portfolio of accounts including both renewals and new business from initial enquiry through to the handing over of the placing slip to the processing/documentation team.
  • Developing / driving the placement strategy for each account.
  • Provide full reviews of the risks proposed, preparation of underwriting presentations.
  • Managing the relationship between the insured/network and the GBC. This will involve targeted travel where required and hosting of clients in London.
  • Overall responsibility for the running of the file, including the use of electronic placing platforms, and ensuring KPI’s are met, and relevant data captures are completed for each account.
  • Actively contribute to the growth of the Portfolio and to the Property go to market strategy. Understand our structured portfolio solutions (SPS’s) and work pro‑actively with the PCCM chief broking officer to enhance the SPS strategy for Pulp and Paper occupancies.
  • Provide technical support and advice to other Aon offices acting as a referral point in relation to Pulp and Paper Industry specific queries and where necessary lead tenders.
  • Working with the regional teams, ensure that AV strategy is maximised across the Pulp & Paper portfolio.
  • Staying on top of Pulp & Paper market movements and changes of appetite.
  • Carry out such projects, tasks and other duties as may be specified by the Team Leader or Senior Management of the Division.
