Role Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a Junior IBA Payable Technician to join a friendly and fast-growing organisation. This role is ideal for someone at the early stages of their career who is keen to learn, build confidence, and develop new skills with full training and ongoing support. You’ll work as part of a supportive payables team, helping to reconcile ledgers and ensure payments are processed accurately and on time, with guidance from experienced colleagues every step of the way.

Role Accountabilities

• Reconciliation of monthly Underwriter (insurer) bordereau’s.
• Reconciliation of Third party ledgers.
• Reconciliation of creditors report.
• Allocation of payable ledger items.
• Process and arrange Underwriter and Third party payments.
• Control, monitor and review outstanding payables with prompt resolution of queries.
• Responsible for resolution and escalation of queries with clients, Processing team and Underwriters.
• Ad hoc duties as requested by management.
• Any additional duties.

Role Requirements

• Some previous experience within an Accounts function (advantageous).

Skills and Abilities

• High level of attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
• A high level of computer literacy and proficient user of Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to multitask and meet processing SLA’s and deadlines.
• To be able to work within a team and to be pro‑active.
• Understanding of Sequel Eclipse (advantageous but not essential).
