Job description

Founded in 2016 by three siblings, the French Maison Polène creates leather goods that blend minimalism with creative exploration, offering distinctive signature shapes crafted through exceptional artisanal know how. Our leathers, sourced exclusively from certified Italian and Spanish tanneries, are sculpted into organic forms, folds, draped effects, and braids. Production is entrusted to the artisans of Ubrique, Spain, a renowned hub for high end leather craftsmanship where all of Polène’s métiers come together.

Since 2023, Polène has also developed a new field of expression: jewelry, with thematic collections inspired by nature, from the movement of wind to rock like textures carved into the material.

The Polène story can be written with you. Join us in store and contribute to this adventure at the heart of our flagship, where a passionate team works to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

AS PART OF THE STORE TEAM

Based in our store in London, you will deliver a high quality client facing service by carrying out leather repairs, restorations, product animations, and personalisation while upholding the Maison’s standards of excellence.

Responsibility: Client Welcome and In Store Experience
  • Welcome clients with courtesy and professionalism.
  • Listen to and understand client needs, providing clear guidance on what can be done and expected timelines.
  • Partner closely with the sales team to ensure a smooth and satisfying end to end customer experience.
Responsibility: Leather Repair, Care and Restoration
  • Diagnose and perform leather goods repairs in line with Polène quality standards (edge dyeing and finishing, stitching repairs, etc.).
  • Maintain and restore products to extend their lifespan and preserve aesthetics.
  • Keep repair files up to date and ensure accurate follow up and reporting.
  • Act as a key link with our prototyping workshop by escalating recurring issues and contributing to continuous improvement of our leather goods.
Responsibility: Leather Accessory Making and Personalisation
  • Handcraft leather accessories from start to finish, 100% by hand (thermoforming, dyeing, stamping, stitching, etc.).
  • Perform product personalisation services in store, with consistent luxury level finishes.
Responsibility: Continuous Learning
  • Stay informed on leathercraft techniques and industry trends.
  • Take part in internal training sessions in our Ubrique workshops to refine skills and craftsmanship.
OUR EXPECTATIONS
  • Proven experience in a luxury Maison and or a leather workshop environment.
  • Strong command of artisanal leather techniques relevant to repair, restoration, and small leather goods making (edge work, stitching, finishing, stamping, thermoforming, etc.).
  • High precision, attention to detail, and a strong quality mindset.
  • Comfortable working in a client facing setting with strong interpersonal skills and a team spirit.
  • Professional working proficiency in English. Spanish is a plus.
  • Enthusiastic, approachable, and dynamic, with clear communication and collaborative habits.

Polène is committed to diversity and inclusion within its teams and ensures an ethical and fair recruitment process for every candidate.
