Job summary

A leading defence organisation based in Bristol is seeking an experienced Electrical Architect to join its Weapon System Equipment team. This role involves developing and defining electrical architecture for various projects, ensuring stringent requirements are met for challenging operational environments. Candidates should possess certification knowledge, experience in electrical installations, and strong design skills. Qualifications

  • Experience in electrical engineering with practical application knowledge.
  • Knowledge of wiring regulations, particularly in mobile systems.
  • Experience in designing installations covering Low and Extra Low Voltages.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the electrical architecture and requirements of the equipment.
  • Maintain the electrical definition and requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Deliver technical documentation, including safety certifications.

Skills

Electrical Installation Design
Hands-on experience with electrical installations
Design of electro-mechanical machinery
Platform and Vehicle based power supply
Certification of installations

Education

HND Level 4 or equivalent qualification
City & Guilds Level 3 award
