An independent builders' supplier is seeking a Business Development Manager for their East Midlands operations. This fully remote role involves building relationships with key customers, including civil engineers and contractors, while managing existing accounts and exploring new business opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a proactive approach and provide technical support for civil engineering materials. Occasional travel to the depot is required.
We are an independent builders’ merchant specialising in the supply of Heavyside building and civil engineering materials to contractors and civil engineering contractors. Our £15m+ turnover operation has a strong regional presence across the East Midlands and North of England, with a modern in-house fleet of crane-equipped vehicles that provides flexible, reliable next‑day delivery to customer sites.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Business Development Manager will build and maintain relationships with key customers—including groundworkers, civil engineers and contractors—within the East Midlands region. The role requires a proactive approach to seeking new business opportunities, managing existing customer relationships, providing technical and product support and gaining new product usage.
The position is fully remote with occasional travel to the depot.
