A local educational institution in Scotland is seeking a part-time Receptionist to manage the reception area and provide first contact for enquiries. The successful candidate will work 25 hours per week during term time, supporting staff and students while ensuring the smooth operation of the office. Responsibilities include answering calls, greeting visitors, and performing administrative tasks. The role requires confident communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
Reporting to the Office Manager, this role is an integral part of the School Office team. Our School Office provides a very busy reception service dealing with a wide variety of enquiries from parents, pupils, colleagues and other internal/external customers.
The successful candidate will beis responsible for theday-to-day management of the reception area and will act as the first point of contact for allenquiries via the telephone and face-to-face. On a Monday from 2.30 pm-4.30 pm this role covers the duty of the Bus Supervisor.
This is a team role, and the successful candidate should be willing to work as part of a team end exercise a degree of flexibility as and when required.
The role is part-time, term time, Monday, 8.30 am-4.30 pm (with 1 hour unpaid lunch break ), Tuesday-Friday, 8.30 am-1.30 pm, 25 hours per week on a fixed-term contract until June 2027.
Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years office-based experience, be well presented and have confident communication skills with a professional approach and the ability to provide great customer service.
Previous experience working within an education environment is preferred but this is not essential.
