Job summary

A London-based consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Developer to join their engineering team. This hands-on engineering role involves designing, building, and maintaining software within a mixed legacy and modern .NET environment. We are looking for an experienced Senior Developer to join our engineering team. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on designing, building, and maintaining software across a mixed legacy and modern .NET estate.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain features.
  • Work with a large, multi-repository codebase, including legacy and maintenance-mode systems.
  • Contribute to improving code quality, performance, and reliability.
  • Support incremental modernization and refactoring efforts where appropriate.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to shared engineering standards.
  • Help diagnose and resolve production issues.
Key Requirements:
  • Strong commercial experience with .NET, including ASP.NET and C#
  • Strong Experience with VB.NET
  • Experience working with legacy .NET Framework applications
  • Solid understanding of SQL Server and relational database design
  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and structured deployment processes
  • Comfortable working in complex, long-lived enterprise systems
