Transducer Test Engineer Underwater Acoustics

We are seeking a detail‑oriented and motivated Transducer Test Engineer to join an Electromechanical Design team working on advanced underwater acoustic technologies. This hands‑on, versatile role supports both existing products and calibration equipment used across UK and international operations, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to innovative subsea transducer systems while developing your skills alongside experienced engineers in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform in‑air and in‑water acoustic and electrical testing
• Analyse test data and produce detailed reports, including findings and root cause analysis
• Use specialist laboratory equipment to measure sound pressure levels, frequency response, noise, and vibration
• Develop and execute test procedures to meet acoustic, electrical, and environmental standards
• Support and improve existing underwater acoustic products and calibration systems
• Communicate test results clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
• Liaise with production teams to support acoustic processes and implement improvements
• Assist with prototype build, evaluation, and testing of new subsea transducer designs
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and certifications
