Job summary

A conservation organization is seeking an individual for a facilities maintenance role at the WWT Llanelli Wetland Centre. You will lead the day-to-day maintenance of outdoor spaces, houses habitats, and supervise volunteers. The ideal candidate will have a solid practical background in site management, strong communication skills, and a genuine passion for nature conservation. The position requires physical involvement and offers 33 days of annual leave plus various other benefits including a contributory pension scheme.

Qualifications

• A strong practical background in site maintenance, including safe use of tools.
• Experience of habitat or grounds management.
• Ability to maintain and repair equipment and tools.
• Experience of delivering small-scale projects.
• Strong teamwork skills with a positive approach.
• Awareness of health and safety in outdoor environments.
• Confidence in supervising volunteers and contractors.
