Job description

Being an Explorers Volunteer at Diglis Island and Fish Pass is a rewarding experience. The role is full of variety, flexibility and a lot of fun! We inspire children and young people about the River Severn and the creatures that live there, using the river as a tool to build life skills, raise aspirations and connect children with the great outdoors.

We can offer our Epic Engineering programme, all about the fish pass itself, as well as our new Victorian Engineering programme, which explores how lock gates are made.

Diglis Explorers are a great team at a fantastic location! You\'ll have the chance to work together to deliver the programme and this year we are working on a new offer all about the historic workshops here on the island.

We give you full training and provide resources for leading groups of children, with a number of training days and team meetings. You will have the support of a Learning & Skills Co-ordinator as well as the other volunteers in your team. We reimburse you for all travel costs.
