A local educational institution in Basildon is seeking an enthusiastic Midday Assistant to support our catering department. The role requires reliable and punctual candidates who can clean the dining hall and supervise students during lunch hours. This position offers a permanent contract with working hours from 10 am to 2:30 pm, Monday to Friday, for 39 weeks during term time. We wish to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Midday Assistant to join our catering department at the Lower Academy.

Salary Range: National Minimum Wage

Contract: Permanent

Working weeks: 39 weeks (Term Time only)

Working Hours: 10am - 2.30pm Monday - Friday.

Duties will include cleaning the dining hall before and after lunch, and supervising students.

The successful candidatewill be:

• Reliable, punctual and trustworthy
• Have the ability to work both alone and in a team
• Someone with a good eye for detail who takes pride in their work
• Have a good level of fitness due to the nature of the role
• Have an awareness of Health & Safety procedures
• Previous work in a school environment is desirable, but not essential
