A veterinary clinic in Ilkley is seeking an enthusiastic Veterinary Care Assistant to join their friendly team. This part-time role requires working 24 hours a week, mainly on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Responsibilities include assisting the clinical team, answering phone calls, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness. The ideal candidate will have experience in animal care, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a busy environment. This is a part-time permanent role working 24 hours per week across a Monday, Wednesday and Friday with no OOH or weekends.
Holly House Veterinary Hospital is a first opinion and referral hospital which is open 8:00am-7:00pm Monday to Friday. We have a dedicated onsite emergency service open 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Our lovely practice is located just 10 minutes from Leeds, is close to York and Harrogate and is within easy reach of the Yorkshire Dales
We have certificate holders in Emergency and Critical Care, Medicine, Surgery, Exotics and Dentistry. Our ideal candidate would enjoy a varied caseload looking after ops and surgical inpatients, helping with client care and consulting.
We are a friendly motivated, inclusive team and regularly have team events for charity (such as recent Dragon Boat event) plus summer BBQ and Christmas Party. Wellbeing is our highest priority, and we have 3 wellbeing champions across the business, a Mental Health First Aider and team coach who can offer individual and team development. We also hold regular clinical governance meetings and Schwartz Rounds as well as team and practice meetings.
