A veterinary clinic in Poynton seeks an Animal Care Assistant to support their clinical team. This part-time role involves assisting veterinary surgeons and RVNs, providing care with empathy, and maintaining high cleanliness standards. You'll work roughly 22 hours per week, including shifts on Thursdays, Fridays, and alternating Saturdays. As an Animal Care Assistant you will play a crucial role in supporting our clinical team and ensuring the smooth operation of our practice. The role might include some branch work (Cheadle Hulme and Woodley, Main hospital Poynton).

This is a part-time permanent role working on average 22 hours, 2 x 10hour shifts per week - Thursday and Friday and 1:4 Saturday 8 hour shift)
Hunt’s Veterinary Clinics first opened its doors in 1966 and although we were originally mixed practice, we converted our clinics to cover small animal only in November 1997 and we’ve been caring for small animals ever since!
We are an RCVS accredited small animal practice with three branches: Poynton (main branch), Woodley and Cheadle Hulme. Each site is furnished to a high specification so that our high standards of care are uniform across all three sites.
Here at Hunt’s Vets, we have a fantastic working environment which is credit to our wonderful, friendly team. We all really enjoy our working days together and we are never short of laughs. We have an experienced team which means we can offer some fantastic support! Our current team is made up of 6 Vets, 5 RVN’s, a Receptionist, a VCA, a Practice Manager and 4 Support staff.
