A fast-growing sports company in London is seeking an enthusiastic Duty Manager to oversee operations at their Ilford venue. This full-time role requires excellent customer service skills and a passion for sports. You'll manage shifts, lead a team, and ensure a fun, safe environment for our community. Starting salary ranges from £25,000 to £30,000.
Rocket Padel is a growing business. Since 2018 we have been on a mission to create the most fun, open, and social exercise community for everyone. We have established and operated more than 100 courts in Scandinavia, and in 2023 we successfully opened our first venue in Bristol. In 2024 we continued our growth by opening London's largest indoor club in Ilford, as well a premium 4 court facility at Battersea Power Station.
We are a professional, social, and fun team, and our goal is to create high quality venues where playing sports and fitness are enjoyable and accessible to all.
Rocket Padel Beckton will host 5 indoor courts, 2 outdoor courts, café, lounge, gym, spa facilities, shop, premium changing facilities, shared working spaces and conference room. Rocket Padel has exciting expansion plans and we’re already seeking further opportunities with sites across the UK.
We’re looking for an enthusiastic, personable, and organised individual to join Rocket Padel Ilford as the evening duty manager for an April start on a full time basis,
As a duty manager you will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and should be able to multi-task and adapt to deliver a high level of customer service plus quality and accuracy in all work tasks. The Duty Manager should demonstrate the enthusiasm for the project and the high-level communication skills to interact with customers, colleagues and take initiative towards the growth of Rocket Padel’s community.
The ability to work as part of a high-performing team as well as using their own initiative to solve problems, will be a key component towards your success at Rocket Padel. As part of the role, you will be trained to work in all areas of the business including the cafe, shop, facility maintenance and meet and greet customers, while of course join in the fun of playing Padel! You're duties can be as varied as hosting events, serving in the cafe/bar, selling club activities, coaching and corporate events. You will also be required to lead and manage a small team on a shift to shift basis.
