Job description

The Responsive Repairs Unit are responsible for the maintenance of all Cardiff Council domestic housing stock, including Temporary Accommodation, Community Living Complexes, hostels, individual rooms and communal areas of blocks of flats.

About the job

The Dry Homes Team Leader will lead and manage this team to deal with reports of damp and mould and disrepair with a ‘case management’ style approach.

We aim to risk assess, responsibly carry out works with a co-ordinated approach, work with other teams in order to address any fuel poverty, offering innovative alternative solutions to problems such as drying clothes and cooking in order to prevent, treat and provide the necessary advice about how to manage condensation.

What We Are Looking For From You

The successful candidate will have experience working within a responsive repairs environment and working with customers. They will have experience of managing a team as well as a working knowledge of damp and mould issues within domestic properties.

You will need to be well-organised and able to work on your own initiative, as well as working as part of a team.
