A prominent hospitality company based in Daylesford is seeking a Distribution Coordinator to join their Supply Chain team. You will manage the distribution of goods, ensuring orders are processed accurately and efficiently. Responsibilities include coordinating logistics activities, maintaining shipment records, and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and experience in a KPI-driven environment, along with proficiency in MS Excel. As an integral part of our Supply Chain team, a DistributionCoordinator plays a key role in managing the distribution of goods within our company's supply chain.
This role involves ensuring that orders are processed accurately and efficiently, and that customers receive their goods on time and in good condition. They serve as a key point of contact for coordinating logistics activities and providing support to internal and external stakeholders involved in the distribution process.
Salary : £28,700
Full time 40 hours per week
Processing incoming orders from stores, customers, sales teams, or other departments, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Distributing, collating, and processing weekly ordering books.
Arranging collections and transport for internal movements of stock.
Arranging shipments of goods coming into the business and going out to customers or other locations, including selecting carriers, scheduling pickups, and preparing shipping documentation.
Monitoring the status of shipments in transit, providing updates to customers or internal stakeholders, and addressing any delivery issues or delays.
Maintaining accurate records of shipments, including packing lists, bills of lading, and shipping labels, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Aiding stores and customers regarding pick and order status, transport queries, and product information, and resolving any issues or concerns in a timely manner.
Informing stores or customers of any shortages, issues, or delays with their orders.
Assisting the warehouse with dispatch paperwork and processing as required.
Providing a high level of customer service and responding to queries in a timely manner.
You may be asked to perform other tasks as required by management deemed as a reasonable request.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proven experience in a KPI driven environment.
Proficient knowledge of MS Excel.
