Job summary

A medical equipment distributor in Kingston is seeking a Dispatcher to coordinate delivery activities and maximize fleet efficiency. Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Assign daily delivery of parcels and coordinate run schedules.
  • Communicate required maintenance and repairs of vehicle fleet.
  • Oversee pre/post trip vehicle inspections.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties.
  • Report and escalate all delivery deficiencies to the appropriate department.
  • Ensure all delivery documentation is complete/submitted in a timely manner.
  • Learn and help out on a daily basis with Supplies and Equipment.

Purpose

Under the management of the Delivery Supervisor, the Dispatcher will maximize fleet efficiency by scheduling and coordinating the delivery activities of drivers as trained and specified in the company’s Policies and Procedures and Standard Operating Procedures.

Job Responsibilities
  • Assign daily delivery of parcels and coordinate run schedules

  • Use computer skills to create reports, and to monitor order and outs
  • Willing to learn and work between two lines of business (Dispatching and Supplies and Equipment)
