Org.: Incredible Edible Leeds

Incredible Edible Leeds is seeking a new director with experience in finance and bid writing to support finding and writing grant applications and oversee general finances for the organisation.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for funding bids, enabling other board members to focus on their core areas. • Oversee grant application development, submission and monitoring of success rates. • Manage the organisation’s general finances, provide financial reporting and strategic planning. • Contribute to the development of membership and corporate funding streams. • Attend monthly online board meetings (1‑hour) and quarterly in‑person strategy days; participate in seasonal “big get together” events.

Qualifications & Skills

• Proven experience in bid writing and financial planning. • Understanding of the third sector and strategic decision‑making. • Knowledge of grant funding processes and requirements. • Ability to work with vulnerable individuals and a diverse volunteer base; non‑judgemental, approachable, compassionate. • Passion for nature, green spaces and home growing is desirable; at a minimum an appreciation for community‑based activities. • Strong communication, organisational and currency management skills.
