About the role

We are looking for a new Digital Communications Officer to support the on‑going development of our website and provide advice and guidance to other content designers. You will have experience in web design and working with content management systems. You will enjoy working together as part of a team to deliver on our vision of making Teignbridge a healthy and desirable place where people want to live, work and visit.

Person specification
  • Possess excellent literacy and numeracy skills, equivalent to achieving GCSE English Grade C (4) or above, or demonstrating a strong command of written and spoken English.
  • Have basic relevant technical experience (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, design software) and a strong understanding of web design principles (UX/UI, accessibility, responsive design).
  • Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and maintain a level‑headed and positive approach to your work.
  • Exhibit strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate clearly and accurately regarding technical and creative concepts with clients, internal team members, and partner agencies.
  • Have previous experience of actively cooperating with developers, project managers, and content specialists to achieve unified and successful project outcomes as part of a multi‑disciplinary team.
