Role

Digital Analytics Engineer who feels at home working with Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics (GA 360), and who cares deeply about collecting the right data, in the right way, at the right time.

Reporting into the Digital Analytics Manager, you’ll own the implementation and quality of our tracking across web and app, working closely with Product, Marketing and Engineering to make sure our data is robust, reliable and genuinely useful.

You’ll join our Data team at an exciting point of investment and growth on a 12 month FTC. Our data platform is built on Snowflake, AWS, dbt and Tableau, supported by talented engineers and architects across the business. At the heart of our digital data collection sits Google Analytics and server-side GTM, helping us enrich and connect our web and app behavioural data

This role is ideal for someone looking to move client-side, or step up their impact in a fast-paced ecommerce environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in defining and evolving the tracking and measurement strategy for Moonpig
  • Implement and maintain tracking across web and app using Google Analytics 360 / GA4, Google Tag Manager and Firebase Analytics
  • Work closely with Product, Marketing and Engineering teams to understand requirements and deliver high-quality tracking solutions
  • Educate stakeholders on the importance of online measurement and provide best-practice guidance
  • Collaborate with product and development teams to create data layer snippets for existing features and scope technical documentation for new ones
  • Integrate new social and web channels into Google Analytics using clear UTM structures
  • Create and manage tags using server-side GTM for analytics and marketing technologies
  • Configure Google Analytics including custom dimensions, filters, channels, goals, reports, properties and user access
  • Audit existing platforms to ensure tracking technologies are correctly implemented
  • QA tracking changes, troubleshoot issues and recommend improvements
  • Present insights and findings to the wider business
  • Support ad-hoc reporting and analysis as needed
About You
  • Passionate about collecting high-quality, meaningful data
  • Ideally have 4+ years’ experience with Google Analytics (GA 360), tag management and data analysis
  • Have a solid understanding of web technologies including JavaScript, jQuery, CSS and HTML
  • Confident working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, agile environment
  • Highly organised, detail-focused and proactive
  • Communicate clearly and confidently, both in writing and verbally
  • Experience with native app tracking
  • Experience with SQL, R and/or Python, or working with APIs is desirable
  • Hands-on experience with server-side tracking is desirable
  • Familiarity with GitHub, Confluence and Jira is desirable
  • Experience using Google Marketing Platform and Google Cloud Platform, particularly BigQuery is desirable
  • Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills is desirable
