Job Description

Purpose of the role:

This role involves leading the identification, development, and implementation of Digital & AI initiatives within the Global Offshore Wind and UK Battery Energy Storage System teams, collaborating closely with technical and operational stakeholders.

Responsibilities include developing a clear IT & AI strategy and roadmap aligned with overall business objectives, supporting business case development, fostering knowledge sharing, and leading change management for successful adoption.

• Translate corporate Digital & AI priorities into specific strategies and roadmaps for the GOFSW & UK verticals, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Maintain and update the technology roadmap, prioritizing initiatives based on impact, feasibility, and technological capabilities.
• Develop and oversee technology solutions like document management software.

Use Case Development, Delivery & Change Management:

• Work with teams and external partners to identify high-value AI use cases that enhance efficiency, safety, and performance.
• Create business cases and success metrics for projects, ensuring stakeholder engagement and measurable results.
• Lead the delivery of AI projects, ensuring timely execution and adoption.

Cross-Department Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing:

• Promote collaboration, share learnings, and organize workshops and communications to increase AI awareness and adoption.
• Capture and share successful case studies across regions.

Market Scanning & Stakeholder Engagement:

• Continuously monitor external AI tools, platforms, and startups for potential support.
• Build relationships with potential partners and suppliers.
• Align local efforts with group-wide AI programs and standards, representing the local perspective in external forums.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, AI, or related fields. Certifications in AI, data analytics, project management, or cloud technologies are a plus.
• Experience or training in energy systems, renewable energy, offshore wind, or BESS technologies is advantageous.

Preferred Experience:

• 3-5 years in digital strategy, AI, or digital transformation in complex environments.
• Proven success in deploying AI/ML projects, stakeholder engagement, and change management.
• Experience working in matrixed and global organizations, including vendor and startup collaborations.
