Ideal candidates will have experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance and a valid UK driving licence. This role includes shift work and offers a range of benefits such as pension contributions, holiday days, and health packages.
Do you like working outdoors? Do you really enjoy working in a practical hands-on role and fixing things? If so, we have a great opportunity for you to join our Dewatering team as a Plant operator.
If you have previous hands-on experience, whether that be general mechanical or electrical maintenance experience, labouring, groundworks or pipe fitting and are now looking to put your current skills set to good use, then we want to hear from you!
As the plant operator your role will be to carry out the operation and maintenance of the advanced sewage and dewatering plant to meet quality standards.
You will be involved in running advanced wastewater treatment and sludge process plants. Day to day will involve operating the assets in an efficient and robust manner, maximising the sewage treatment/sludge quality and productivity to make the most of our resources.

As part of this role, you will play a big part in the team by ensuring compliance with company policy, processes and procedures are carried out in a safe manner.
You must also ensure the health, safety, and welfare of all colleagues, the public and yourself at all times. You may also be required to provide emergency cover as required on the standby rota.
You will be working within a great team, outdoors dealing with different challenges every day. As we said earlier, this role is perfect if you are a practical minded person and enjoy being hands on solving problems.
A valid manual UK driving licence is essential for this role.
If you have previous experience working unsupervised in an industrial or process plant, that would be desirable. However, we can consider those who have experience in general mechanical or electrical maintenance, labouring, groundworks, or pipefitting.
It is essential that you have a self-motivated work ethic, hardworking nature, and good communication skills.
You must be happy working outdoors in all conditions. Full training will be provided for Confined space training, as will other qualifications applicable to the role.
