Responsibilities

Skills and Competencies
Required
  • Familiar with cloud services (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Experience with source code management systems (e.g., GitHub, Bitbucket, GitLab)
  • Basic knowledge of Linux-based systems (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS) and willingness to learn more
  • Exposure to containerized concepts using Docker
  • Interest in learning Cloud and DevOps security practices (e.g., security group configuration, secrets management, and least privilege access)
  • Willingness to develop troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills; able to stay organized and adapt in a fast‑paced environment
Preferred
  • Familiarity with AI‑assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Amazon Q)
  • Basic understanding of scripting and programming, with an interest in using it for automation (e.g., python)
  • Exposure to core concept of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (CloudFormation or Terraform)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CircleCI) to support automated builds and deployments
  • Basic understanding of networking and load balancing concepts, along with exposure to tools such as Nginx, HAProxy, AWS ALB, or NLB.
  • Experience with AWS

Education

Supporting the design, deployment, and monitoring of systems that power Moody’s products, while learning to apply best practices in reliability, security, and scalability in a multi‑region cloud environment.

  • Drive adoption of serverless architectures (e.g., AWS Lambda, Step Functions, Glue, MWAA, DynamoDB) and container-based platforms (e.g., ECS Fargate) to modernize existing systems and deliver products more efficiently.
  • Adopt Infrastructure as Code (IaC) (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) and Policy as Code (PaC) (e.g., Wiz, Prisma) to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Build and maintain flexible, reusable, and secure CI/CD infrastructure that enables development teams to manage their own pipelines for fast, reliable application delivery.
  • Monitor and optimize AWS resource usage to control costs while maintaining reliability and scalability.
  • Administer SaaS tools (e.g., GitHub, Postman, JFrog, Prisma Cloud, internal portals) to ensure security and efficient development workflows.

About the team

Our DC&I DevOps team is responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of Moody’s global web platforms.

  • Delivering scalable, multi‑region cloud infrastructure to support high‑traffic, customer‑facing products.
  • Providing agile, automated deployment pipelines that allow products to be released quickly, reliably, and securely.
  • Safeguarding platforms with robust monitoring, traffic management, and security practices to ensure resilience and compliance.
