Pay

£30,160 per annum / £14.50 per hour, based on experience (38 hours per week).

Monday to Friday - between hours of 7:30 until 6:00pm

What Being a Deputy Nursery Manager Involves

As a Deputy Nursery Manager, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting the Nursery Manager to lead and inspire your team while maintaining excellence in your base room responsibilities. You will:

  • Lead and mentor the nursery team to deliver high‑quality early years education with pride and energy.
  • Support the Nursery Manager in overseeing all aspects of nursery operations, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Act as a role model, fostering an environment of initiative, creativity, and high standards of care.
  • Build strong partnerships with families, colleagues, and external agencies to promote collaboration and excellent outcomes for children.
  • Monitor and guide the team’s implementation of the EYFS framework, ensuring engaging and nurturing learning opportunities.
  • Take responsibility for the nursery in the Nursery Manager’s absence, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, providing constructive feedback and supporting professional development within your team.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that respects the unique needs of every child.

Our, and perfectly formed nursery in Margate offers our local community an Oftsed rated Outstanding nursery in a meticulously crafted environment that fosters childrens connections with the world around them, themselves, and their peers. We are a close‑knit team with children, staff and our parents all knowing one another. Inside our nursery in Margate, you will find three thoughtfully designed rooms, each equipped with age‑appropriate resources tailored to meet the developmental needs of every child. Townsend Montessori Nursery Margate is situated just a short walk from Margate town centre and Margate train station, on Cowper Road. Parking is available to the team on the roads close to the nursery.
