Job description
🌟 Deputy Manager – Children’s Residential Care 🌟

Location: Winsford, Cheshire West

Salary: £17.50 per hour / £34,125 base

Sleep-in Rate: £60 per sleep | 6–8 sleeps/month = up to £5,760/year

Take-Home Salary: Up to £41,085/year, including £100 monthly attendance bonus

Hours: 37.5 per week | Permanent Contract

Rota: Rolling shifts with sleep-ins

About the Service 🏡

This is a nurturing and therapeutic 3-bed children’s home, providing care for young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). The home is part of a well-established, values‑led organisation committed to delivering exceptional outcomes for children and young people.

What We’re Looking For 👀

We're seeking a compassionate, confident, and proactive Deputy Manager to support the day‑to‑day operations of the home and lead a passionate team. This role is ideal for an existing Deputy Manager, Assistant Manager, or an experienced Senior RSW ready to take the next step in their career.

Essential Requirements ✅
  • Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People’s Workforce (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience as a Deputy, Assistant Manager, or Senior RSW in a children’s residential care setting
  • Sound knowledge of safeguarding and relevant childcare legislation
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and team development skills
  • A full UK driving licence (manual)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • IT proficiency and a willingness to learn new systems
