Deputy Manager Requirements
  • Solid experience in a similar role with a proven track record of leading and delivering.
  • Restaurant/hospitality experience is essential.
  • Track record of leading teams to success.
  • Strong financial skills and ability to manage audits and due diligence.
  • Ability to manage budgets, labour controls and forecasting.
  • Strong commercial acumen to drive sales and deliver business results.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to think fast.
  • Great communication skills for leading, inspiring a team and delighting guests.
  • Right to work in the UK.
Deputy Manager Responsibilities
  • Lead and inspire the performance of the FOH team.
  • Full responsibility for overseeing all aspects of operation and performance: people, guest, sales, profit, operations, health & safety and property.
  • Ensure Upham Inns standards are maintained and restaurant performance delivers targets through a people‑first, guest‑obsessed, operational excellence strategy.
  • Support the General Manager in driving and delivering excellence across all premises.
  • Act as a role model and guide training and development within the team.

Our pubs are in idyllic settings in country villages and towns, proud to be the quality local of the area, serving high quality fresh pub food in a cosy ambience.
