Job Description
Our Site Manager is currently recruiting for an experienced Depot Quality Manager to join and strengthen our depot management team across two sites.
Purpose of Position
Through constant review of business analytics, conduct deep‑dive analysis to identify opportunities to improve the quality and experience for the shipper, ensuring the depot remains compliant in Quality, ISO, Environment, H&S, HR, Transport, Couriers, Self‑Employed Owner Drivers and Security.
Key Tasks / Areas of Responsibility
- Drive quality and compliance within the depot, maintaining and improving standards.
- Run, analyse and interpret operational data to produce daily, weekly and monthly reports; identify and resolve areas of non‑conformance.
- Improve and maintain a customer‑first approach in all aspects of depot operations.
- Monitor and review depot/administration compliance of H&S, HR, ODF, Transport, Recruitment, ISO, Audits and Environmental.
- Maintain and drive completion of new process training with depot admin team support & OJT support.
- Recommend new processes to achieve company audits according to company targets in H&S, Quality and Transport.
- Coach and mentor office‑based employees in understanding company processes and procedures.
- Attend on‑site and off‑site meetings/courses as directed by the General Manager.
- Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal contractors.
- Keep own skills and knowledge up‑to‑date and take responsibility for personal development.
- Facilitate meetings and take minutes for H&S and weekly Shift Manager meetings to drive accountability.
- Undergo any other tasks as directed by the Site Manager.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge and understanding of quality, audits and compliance, ideally within a transport setting; awareness of CPC and O‑Licence requirements is advantageous.
- Confident communicator with a passion to lead, motivate and manage high‑performing teams while influencing at all levels.
- Decisive and effective decision‑maker in a time‑pressured environment.
- Enjoys resolving problems, demonstrating high resilience, self‑motivation and flexibility.
- Analytical, customer‑focused and highly organised.
