Works to assure complete and on-time delivery to all Rosenboom customers and coordinates the work activities of logistics.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensures complete and on-time delivery to all Rosenboom customers by coordinating logistics and transportation activities.
- Monitors all trucking activities
- Communicates with internal departments including purchasing and customer accounts
- Strategically plans & utilizes Rosenboom’s truck fleet for optimal performance.
- Establishes transportation schedules for outgoing and incoming loads taking into consideration DOT regulations
- Maintain & utilize 3rd party logistics partners as needed
- Sets up and compares pricing for freight and for fleet repair and maintenance
- Uses appropriate computer software to track and issue information regarding the location, quantity and status of materials and manufactured components;
- Completes required paperwork & processes for Iowa Better Trucking & federal DOT regulations
- Maintains communication with other Rosenboom facilities regarding transportation & logistics.
- Maintain Rosenboom’s non-DOT vehicle fleet including scheduling routine maintenance & repairs.
- Analyzes and resolves work related problems and/or assists department members in solving work related problems;

- Assists in the maintenance of department time and production records;
- Assist in loading & unloading as required
- Able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Interprets a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule form;
- Communicates in English;
- Demonstrates ability to communicate orally and in written form in a clear and positive manner;
- Demonstrates ability to generate and maintain accurate and concise written records; and,
- Reads/comprehends safety rules, equipment manuals.
Education/Training/Certifications/Licenses
- Education and/or experience relative to the responsibilities of this position;
- On-site training specific to job responsibilities; and,
