Job summary

A data management company is seeking a Data Protection Manager to lead the data protection strategy and ensure compliance with regulations such as GDPR. The successful candidate will maintain and enhance the data protection framework, act as the first point of contact for data protection queries, and deliver training to colleagues. Qualifications

Description

Solvd. is looking for a Data Protection Manager to join our team and lead on data protection strategy and best practice.

What you’ll do
  • Maintain and enhance our data protection framework, policies, and processes to ensure compliance with GDPR and other regulations.
  • Drive the implementation and ongoing maintenance of ISO27001:2022 .
  • Act as the first point of contact for data protection queries, breaches, and subject access requests.
  • Deliver engaging data protection training to colleagues and promote best practice across departments.
  • Manage Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and attend group Data Protection Forums.
  • Support information security initiatives and contribute to ISO 27001 certification.
What we’re looking for
Essential
  • Advanced knowledge of data protection regulations and GDPR.
  • Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of information security principles and a willingness to develop further.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with auditors, suppliers, and colleagues.
  • IT proficiency (Microsoft Office suite).
