About The Role

Qualifications
  • Proven experience in data analysis or data science within a commercial environment, with the ability to translate technical solutions into actionable business strategies.
  • Strong understanding of data structures, relational databases, and data manipulation techniques.
  • Hands‑on experience creating reports and dashboards from scratch using BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Domo.
  • Experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams, including commercial partners and business leaders, to deliver insights and support decision‑making.
  • Knowledge of the retail or e‑commerce sectors is advantageous but not essential.
  • Self‑motivated, curious, and eager to undertake new challenges in a greenfield environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Practical experience in financial and data modelling.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data querying and extraction.
  • Experience using Python for data exploration, shaping, and analysis of complex datasets.
  • Background in finance, with a relevant degree or active professional qualification such as ACCA or CIMA.
  • Ability to connect data insights directly to business outcomes and results.

  • Engaging in financial forecasting, modelling, and storytelling through data analysis.

  • Leading the transition to a new BI platform (Domo), including system implementation and user training.
  • Designing intuitive dashboards and providing training to empower teams in self‑service analytics.
  • Maintaining relevance and freshness in reporting, ensuring insights are timely and impactful.
