This is your chance to work on a mission‑critical platform used across large‑scale IT environments, driving innovation and transformation in cybersecurity. You’ll collaborate with experts, tackle complex challenges, and deliver solutions that protect some of the most important digital infrastructures in the UK.

This role offers the opportunity to architect new features, drive innovation, and support a major re‑platforming initiative to modernize our infrastructure. If you thrive on solving complex problems and shaping secure, scalable solutions, we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Develop: Architect new features and enhancements for UPP to meet evolving security requirements.
  • Re‑platforming: Contribute to migrating the service to a modern infrastructure.
  • Integration: Design robust APIs to connect systems and services seamlessly.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with technical SMEs and stakeholders to ensure clarity and alignment.
  • Security Leadership: Represent Cyber Services at technical and security design authorities, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation.
  • Compliance: Identify control gaps, develop remediation plans, and manage residual risk across local and national programs.
Preferred Skills & Experience
  • Cybersecurity Expertise: Strong background in operational and transformational cybersecurity roles.
  • Software Architecture:
  • System Design using architecture patterns
  • Data Modelling and entity relationship diagrams
  • API Design and integration frameworks
  • Enterprise & Solution Architecture: Understanding of roles and interdependencies.
  • Transformation Experience: Proven track record in large‑scale IT transformation programs.
  • Communication: Ability to explain complex security concepts to non‑security technical teams.
  • Governance: Experience managing separation of control from technical design authority responsibilities.

Applicants will need to attend a client office 3 days per week; location can be a choice of Edinburgh/Sheffield/Birmingham/Manchester.
