We are looking for a Correspondence and Administrative Assistant to the Bishop of London

Are you highly organised, discreet, and passionate about supporting a team with purpose? The Bishop of London is seeking a Correspondence & Administrative Assistant to join a small, dedicated team at The Old Deanery in the heart of the City of London.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in the Bishop’s office, ensuring first‑class administrative and secretarial support. You’ll manage diverse and sensitive correspondence, liaise with clergy and parishes, and help maintain smooth communication across the Diocese of London. From drafting letters and coordinating newsletters to supporting events and maintaining accurate records, your work will make a real difference.

What you’ll do:
  • Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence with professionalism and confidentiality

What we’re looking for:

Key role requirements:
  • This is a full‑time, permanent role
  • There will be some flexibility to work remotely but because of the nature of the role please expect to work from The Old Deanery for the majority of the time
Your Salary
  • A salary of £32,205 per annum, plus age‑related pension contributions between 8-15% of salary. We will also match any pension contributions you make up to an additional 3% of your salary.
