Cook - The Willow Centre at PARKHAVEN TRUST

Salary

From £13.57 per hour, 20 hours per week (Mon – Fri 10am – 2pm)

About the Role

At Parkhaven Trust you will have a rewarding career as a Cook. The Willow Centre is a day‑care centre for people with dementia, offering a home‑from‑home environment. Each day we provide a range of activities and delicious home‑cooked meals and snacks to all attendees. The Cook prepares the daily lunch meal for service users Monday to Friday, planning food quantities around occupancy to minimise waste.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in menu planning to create nutritious and appealing meal options and minimise food waste.
  • Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and dietary guidelines.
  • Ensure all food handling practices comply with safety regulations and standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to health codes.
  • Interact with service users to provide an exceptional meal service.
  • Address any dietary needs or preferences, developing a suitable menu in collaboration with the Housekeeping Coordinator and team of Cooks.
Qualifications
  • In‑date basic food hygiene certificate.
  • Minimum valid level 1 catering certificate.
