A leading energy company in the UK is seeking a Control Systems Engineer Degree Apprentice to join their innovative team. You will design, develop, and maintain control systems while pursuing a fully-funded BEng (Hons) in Maintenance Engineering. E.ON UKLimitedare looking for a Control Systems Engineer Degree Apprentice to complete a Level 6 Control Systems Engineer degree apprenticeship. The candidate will play a vital role in designing, developing and maintaining innovative systems that support critical operations across industries. This structured apprenticeship will equip the candidate with the skills to create smarter, safer and more efficient systems. You’ll work with diverse teams across the business through six-month placements while studying part-time at the University of Sheffield’s Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC) for a fully-funded BEng (Hons) in Maintenance Engineering. Upon successful completion of your apprenticeship, E.ON will continue to support you in achieving chartered status.
Throughout this apprenticeship, you’ll gain hands-on experience in designing and implementing advanced control systems under the guidance of experienced engineers.

During your first year, you'll attend the University of Sheffield AMRC Training Centre in Sheffield for an initial six-month block of full-time study. One Friday per month, you'll return to your workplace - either Nottingham or Sheffield.
On completion of the first study block, this apprenticeship will be based in either Sheffield or Nottingham, with travel to other locations expected. You’ll attend the training centre in Sheffield one day per week for knowledge-based study, spending the remaining four days onsite gaining practical experience.

Candidates with an HND or Foundation Degree or who have completed the second year of a degree in a relevant subject can be assessed for direct entry onto the 2nd or 3rd year of the programme (BEng top-up), but 1st year entry or an alternative pathway may still be recommended.
Candidates who have not studied in the UK can submit transcripts for qualifications equivalent to level 3 which the admissions panel will review and may be taken in lieu of the specified qualifications.
Applicants are also required to successfully complete the AMRC Training Centre and employer recruitment and selection process to secure a place on an apprenticeship programme.
