Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a management role within rail, infrastructure or a related sector.
  • Strong project, people and stakeholder management skills.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Rail experience, COSS and SMSTS are desirable.

Contract Manager

Location: Scotland (between Edinburgh and Glasgow)

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday

What you’ll do:

We’re looking for an experienced Contract Manager to join our Rail & Infrastructure division, managing projects across Scotland.

In this role, you’ll take ownership of the day-to-day delivery of multiple projects, balancing client needs, safety, quality, programme and cost. You’ll lead site managers and field teams, oversee project planning and documentation, and act as a key point of contact for our clients – building strong, trusted relationships along the way.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Managing the full project lifecycle, from planning through to delivery
  • Leading and developing site managers and field teams
  • Ensuring projects are delivered safely on time and within budget
  • Managing client relationships and providing clear project updates
  • Overseeing compliance with HSQE and rail industry standards
  • Identifying opportunities for future works and business growth
What we’re looking for:
  • Proven experience in a management role within rail, infrastructure or a related sector
  • Strong project, people and stakeholder management skills
  • NVQ Level 5 (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline
  • Willingness to travel as required
  • Rail experience, COSS and SMSTS are desirable (training available if needed)
