Overview

Equans is looking for a Contracts Manager to join our team in Belfast on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle and benefits package.

The Contract Delivery Manager is responsible for the overall management and successful delivery of contracts within a defined region / operating unit. This role involves leading a team of supervisors and operatives to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required standards of quality and safety. The Contract Delivery Manager is also responsible for client relationships, financial management, and ensuring that all work complies with legal and regulatory requirements. The role plays a key part in driving operational efficiency, client satisfaction, and business growth.

What will you deliver?
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of Contract Supervisors and site operatives. Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and high performance
  • Oversee the delivery of all repair and maintenance contracts within the assigned region or portfolio. Ensure that all contractual obligations are met and that projects are delivered to the highest standards of quality, safety, and client satisfaction
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project goals, timelines, and expectations. Act as the primary point of contact for all client-related matters
  • Manage project budgets, ensuring that work is delivered within financial constraints. Monitor costs, approve expenditures, and work with the commercial team to maximize profitability
  • Provide regular reports on project progress, financial performance, and key issues to senior management. Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all project-related activities
  • Contribute to business development by identifying opportunities for contract extensions, additional work, or new client relationships. Support the bidding and tendering process as needed

Who are we looking for?
  • NVQ or equivalent qualification in a trade or Construction Management, Site Supervision, or a related field
  • Experience in a supervisory role within the repairs and maintenance or construction industry
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry practices
  • SMSTS
  • CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card – black / white
  • Proficiency in basic IT skills, including the use of project management software
  • Full UK drivers licence
