St Stephen’s is looking to appoint a Contemporary Worship Leader
The role

The successful applicant will be leading worship at both morning services, and grow the existing musicians and worship group:

  • Play at 9.15 and 10.45 services on Sunday
  • Source appropriate music that draws people into worship
  • Organise weekly worship times and encourage all musicians
  • Manage and support rotas
  • Advise on audio visual equipment and work with a team that manages projection, recording and amplification on Sunday.

They should be able to work under their own initiative and will feel able to inspire growth and change in the worship life of the church.

What they need to succeed

They will be an experienced, worship leader with a “can do” attitude, excellent people and communication skills, and should be looking to work approximately 10 hours per week. Ideally the applicant will have strong vocal skills and be proficient on keyboard and guitar. The applicant will be part of a newly formed and supportive ministry team.
