Job summary

A charitable hospice organization in Torquay is seeking experienced therapists to provide compassionate care for palliative patients at home. Candidates must hold recognized qualifications in Massage and another therapy, as well as have excellent communication skills and be insured. The role is rewarding and offers a supportive environment where the impact of your work is recognized. The position is available full-time or part-time with a competitive salary based on experience.

Qualifications

  • Experienced therapist with recognized qualification in Massage and other therapy.
  • Insurance and registration with an appropriate professional body are required.
  • Experience with vulnerable or palliative care patients is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Provide therapy to patients in their own homes across Rowcroft’s catchment area.
  • Support the volunteer network.
  • Work within a compassionate environment.

Job description

Contract Type: Full Time & Part Time Available - Permanent

Salary: Band C £27,485 to £30,162 (pro rata) per annum, depending on experience.

Working Hours: Up to 37.5 hours per week

What you’ll bring

To be successful in this role you will need to be an experienced therapist with a recognised qualification in Massage and another therapy such as Aromatherapy, Reflexology or Reiki. You need to be insured and registered with an appropriate professional body. Experience in working with vulnerable or palliative care patients is desirable, along with excellent communication skills and a compassionate calm touch. The ability to drive to visit patients in their own homes across Rowcroft’s catchment area is required, as is competence in IT skills and support for our volunteer network.
