Leeds Women's Aid is seeking a Communications Officer for a 6-month fixed-term position, working full-time to enhance their messaging and outreach. The role involves managing social media, creating engaging content, and supporting media campaigns. Ideal candidates will have experience in social media management and copywriting, with a passion for making a significant difference in the lives of individuals affected by domestic violence and abuse.
Full-time (35 hours Monday – Friday, 6 months fixed term contract)
Salary £26,000

Leeds Women’s Aid (LWA) is the largest women’s charitable organisation in Leeds and provides services for victims of domestic violence and abuse, honour-based violence, forced marriage, trafficking, stalking and
harassment and is the lead agency for two consortia, Leeds Domestic Violence Service and Women’s & Girls Alliance Leeds, which leads on the Women Friendly Leeds movement.
LWA are looking for a Communications Officer to support with the day to day communications activities of Leeds Domestic Violence Service and Women Friendly Leeds . The position will involve creating and scheduling impactful and accessible social media content, producing copy for blogs and newsletters, supporting with media campaigns and attending community events to promote the projects.
You will need:
• Experience of social media management including short form video production
• Initiative, creativity and organisational skills
• The ability to produce engaging copy for different platforms
