Company Name: The Co-operative Heritage Trust

The Co-operative Heritage Trust is the charity which runs Rochdale Pioneers Museum on Toad Lane – where the modern co-operative movement started in 1844. Our museum is accredited (444) by Arts Council England; we collect and care for material which tells the story of co-ops in the UK.

We are looking for someone for 21 hours per week to care for, plan and document our museum collections and who can use a variety of skills including digital engagement to engage with target audiences as part of our charity’s mission.

Collections review and disposal will be a feature of this work alongside collecting to reflect the Trust’s priorities and forward plan.

This is a permanent part-time role, and the Trustees are open to offering it on either a two or three day per week basis depending on the skills and experience of the candidate.

Please read the Job description carefully when applying for this role.

The role is permanently contracted but is subject to a 12-week probation period.

The museum itself is open every second Saturday and all CHT staff are expected to provide essential cover for front line staff on rotation and may need to work occasional weekends or evenings to support events.

The closing date for applications is midday on Monday 19th January 2026.

Interviews will take place in person on the following Monday 26th or Tuesday 27th January at Rochdale Pioneers Museum, 31 Toad Lane OL12 0NU.
