A leading manufacturing firm based in Erith is looking for an experienced CNC Operator to join their expanding team. In this full-time role, you will operate various CNC machines while ensuring quality production standards. Ideal candidates will have previous CNC operation experience, specifically with Fanuc controls, and demonstrate strong attention to detail and mechanical precision. The position includes a salary of £30,000 annually and requires a proactive attitude with a willingness to work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and AS9100 Quality Systems.

Job type: Full-time, permanent

Location: Erith

Salary: £30,000 per year, plus overtime

Hours: Monday Thursday, 6.30am 4.20pm.

Bridge Recruitment is helping one of our established clients recruit an experienced CNC Operator to join their ever-expanding team. You will report to the Production Director.

Responsibilities Of The CNC Operator

• Operating any of the company’s VMC and 5 Axis CNC machines, as required
• Performing First Offs, checking dimensional quality & amending machine settings in pursuit of component design requirements
• Operating to an acceptable production target whilst maintaining a high standard of quality where right‑first time is paramount
• Setting up and operating all types of manual machining equipment, covering milling, turning, grinding and marking processes

Requirements Of The CNC Operator

• Previous experience as a CNC Operator ideally using Fanuc controls.
• An excellent attention to detail & mechanical dexterity when dealing with small precision parts
• Problem identification and rectification
• Ability to read engineering drawings and comprehension of geometric tolerancing
• Good working knowledge of both ISO 9001 and AS9100 Quality Systems
• Good communication skills.
• A high level of proactivity and problem solving both as an individual & as part of a team
• The physical ability to carry out manual handling tasks
• The ability to follow processes accurately
• Good numeracy skills
• Enthusiasm, professional attitude and willingness to learn
• Willingness to work overtime to meet targets when required
• Good ability with hand tools such as files, grinders, drills and riveting.
