A leading cancer treatment center in the United Kingdom seeks a Clinical Nurse Specialist to oversee comprehensive care for patients with lung cancer. The role includes clinical leadership, developing care plans, and providing support to patients and health care teams. Candidates must hold NMC registration, have experience in oncology nursing, and a relevant degree. An opportunity has arisen within the lung team for a band 7 Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) role at The Royal Marsden Hospital predominantly at the Sutton site, but there may be some cross-site cover needed.
The Lung CNS role oversees patients from the neo-adjuvant to palliative setting for the NHS and for private patients who are undergoing medical and radiotherapy treatment.
The post holder has a distinct level of responsibility to patients with lung cancer in providing a comprehensive specialist nursing service to the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust, working within a team of advanced clinical nurses. The post holder will work in conjunction with the existing Lung Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialists and specifically provide advanced nursing care to patients with local and advanced cancer.
The post holder will work under the supervision of the Lead Nurse and Matron.

Flu Vaccination – What We Expect of our Staff
At The Royal Marsden we have an immune compromised patient population who we must protect as much as we can against the flu virus. Each year, seasonal flu affects thousands of people in the UK. Occurring mainly in winter, it is an infectious respiratory disease capable of producing symptoms ranging from those similar to a common cold, through to very severe or even fatal disease.
The wellbeing of our staff and patients is of the upmost importance to us, and it is the expectation of The Royal Marsden that all patient-facing staff have an annual flu vaccination, provided free of charge by the Trust.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
