Overview

The Lincoln Medical School is at an exciting stage in developing a new, independent undergraduate curriculum for validation by the GMC as part of its ambition to be added to the list of organisations approved to award primary medical qualifications. September 2025 marked the arrival of the first cohort of independent gateway year students, with students registered on the five‑year programme arriving in September 2026. This is part of the planned independence from the University of Nottingham, with students on the UoN course now being taught‑out.


Role

This new post, for an established senior clinician, will oversee the professional development of students on the six‑ and five‑year programmes, with a particular focus on developing professionalism skills and clinical reasoning.


Responsibilities


  • Oversee the professional development of students on the six‑ and five‑year programmes.

  • Develop professionalism skills and clinical reasoning.

  • Contribute significantly to the strategic development of LMS, including new dental programmes, postgraduate delivery and scholarly outputs.

  • Join the Senior Management Team of the School.

  • Committed to remaining clinically active throughout the role.
