The Lincoln Medical School is at an exciting stage in developing a new, independent undergraduate curriculum for validation by the GMC as part of its ambition to be added to the list of organisations approved to award primary medical qualifications. September 2025 marked the arrival of the first cohort of independent gateway year students, with students registered on the five‑year programme arriving in September 2026. This is part of the planned independence from the University of Nottingham, with students on the UoN course now being taught‑out.
This new post, for an established senior clinician, will oversee the professional development of students on the six‑ and five‑year programmes, with a particular focus on developing professionalism skills and clinical reasoning.
This post would be especially suitable for someone from a general medical specialty to support the wider balance of clinical experience within the School. We welcome applications from all senior clinicians, including GPs, Consultants and SAS doctors.
Please include a current CV as part of your application.
For an informal conversation about the role please contact Amy Leader, at , to arrange a time to meet with Professor Jamie Read.
